The Hippie Road Bar, Patong
Just a few minutes walk from the Hard Rock or the Bangla Road, this bar specializes in rock classics, with a couple of Marshall stacks looking mean to set the scene.

A firm favorite for bikers, it’s just the place to park your Harley. And if you want to try your hand at singing, that’s no problem!

The Bar With No Name, Karon
You’ll find this well-known live music venue just 200 meters inland from the Karon Traffic Circle on the main road trough Karon. It hosts quality acts every night of the week, Recommended!

The Hard Rock, Patong

The jewel in the crown of Phuket’s live music scene, this is THE place to go rock!

With a stunning house band and regular events with guest bands, it promises an exciting night out!

Michelangelo’s, Phuket Town
It’s in Takuapa Road where it joins Rassada Road and is managed by Don Mangiameli (at the bar in a red shirt).

There is live music some nights, including a popular jazz jam on Tuesday nights.

The Freedom Bar, Rawai
Run by ‘Popeye’ Starr from the UK (center), it’s at the north end of the Beach Road in Rawai, it has hosted live music for 20 years.

It has bands performing most nights.

Bebop Jazz Bar, Phuket Town
Situated meters from Michelangelo’s Bar in Takuapa Road, this is the place to go for a intimate, romantic night out. But best book a table at the weekend as it’s small and gets busy!

Run by jazz virtuoso guitarist Boy Navio (in a white shirt), they have live music most nights starting at 9 pm. Just refurbished, so now even cooler!

Rockin’ Angels Blues Bar, Phuket Town
Situated in Yaowarat Road 5 minutes walk from the Bebop Bar for the past 20 years, this is the oldest surviving live venue in Phuket. Run by guitarist Patrick Chua, you’ll hear many hits from the 50s and 60s in this tiny bar. He is usually joined by a drummer and bass player on Fridays and Saturdays. Sundays is acoustic night. Shut Mondays.

Papazula, Phuket Old Town

Papazula is found within sight of the east end of the Thalang Road which hosts the Lard Yai walking street in Phuket Old Town on Sunday nights. It is its latest name as it was called The Harbor Bar, The Rasta Bar and then Beer Sound before Papazula.

It offers food and a hot house band, so is a good place to go once you have bought your souvenirs.
